Why take the Adventurethon Kalbarri Challenge?
As Billy Ocean sang; “When the going get’s tough, the tough get going.” and what better way is there to get yourself going than an Adventurethon?
Australians are some of the toughest Bruces and Sheilas in the world, so this is a shout out to all Iron Men and Women! If you really want to prove your mettle, why not try out Australia’s toughest adrenaline-charged multisport challenge incorporating paddling, mountain biking and trail running over distances of your choice?
This triathlon tough test takes place in Kalbarri, a small town in Western Australia on the Murchison River. The town’s National Park is surrounded by rock formations and rugged coastal cliffs with unbelievable views and hundreds of exotic species of birds which will pass by as you paddle, pedal and perambulate at pace.
What makes Adventurethon Kalbarri so bonza?
In the early June Australian sunshine, you’ll run The Great Trail Run into town, pick up your kayak to paddle down the Murchison River before taking to a mountain bike for a dash along the river and through the National Park.
After all that exertion, Sunday is reserved for fun - you’ll paddle the river and fill up on barbecued crayfish at the Canoe ‘n Cray Carnival. You can’t get more ‘Strayan than that!
