What is The War of the Worlds Immersive Experience?
Pride and Prejudice. A literary classic, packed full of love, class and people with incredibly British names. But let’s face it – who would really enjoy a Pride and Prejudice immersive experience? (OK… Grandma, perhaps).
The War of the Worlds Immersive Experienceon the other hand? Now THAT ticks all the boxes!
As the name suggests, this epic experience – based on Jeff Wayne’s concept album which was based on the 1898 H.G. Wells classic novel – uses cutting-edge technology and storytelling to deliver such an immersive experience it will make you wonder whether you really are witnessing an alien invasion in Edwardian England!
Seriously, it’s that good.
You’ve heard it, you’ve seen it… now survive it!
Reading the War of the Worlds or watching it on stage is one thing, but actually navigating the streets as the Martians pay an unwelcome visit – actually feeling the earth shake and the icy breeze – is a completely different ball game.
Could we use the word 'AWESOME'?
Based in central London, this 110-minute layered-reality experience combines virtual reality, augmented reality, holograms and music, as well as live and virtual actors, to truly assault your senses – sight, touch, hearing and even smell (although probably not taste… unless the aliens are made of candy… we’ll get back to you).
A word of advice – if you have ever wanted to read War of the Worlds, do it before this experience. Sitting down to read a 287-page classic novel after such an epic day will probably be a bit of a downer…
